Der Kurzfilm „Umbra“ des iranischen Regisseurs Saeed Jafarian wurde bei den 71. Filmfestspielen von Cannes für den Kurzfilm Palme d’Or nominiert und auf den renommiertesten Filmfestivals der Welt gezeigt. „Umbra“ hat eine Frau in Teheran als Protagonistin, die Grenzen überschreitet und Ängste überwindet, um frei zu sein. In diesem kurzen Video zum Film, spricht Saeed Jafarian in seinem Statement, vom Dreh einer besonderen Sequenz, die im Film fehlt und hier zum ersten Mal öffentlich gezeigt wird.

The short film “Umbra” from the Iranian director Saeed Jafarian was nominated for the Short Film Palme d’Or at the 71st Annual Cannes Film Festival and also have screened at some of the world’s most prestigious film festivals. „Umbra“ is about breaking boundaries and the fear of being free, specially for women in Iran. In this Short Video Jafarian is speaking about one particulary “shot” on the set for the film, which is shown for the first time in public.
