DEUTSCH Mit Farbsträngen und Kalklinien führt der Komponist und Künstleraus San Francisco in sein poetisches Universum der Töne. Ishan Clemenco begann seine Karriere als Komponist in San Francisco. Die einzelnen Arbeiten zeigen eine Reihe von Markierungen, die er in den letzten 19 Jahren mit Kreidelinien gemacht habe. Kreidelinien werden seit der Antike traditionell verwendet, um den Umfang und die Abmessungen von Gebäudestrukturen und Denkmälern festzulegen.

ENGLISH . With adapted colored chalk-line marking instruments, the composer and artist from San Francisco leads into his poetic universe of tones. Ishan Clemenco began his career as a composer in San Francisco. The individual works show a range of marks he has engaged in making with chalk-lines for the past 19 years. Chalk-lines have been traditionally employed from antiquity to lay-out the perimeters and dimensions of building structures and monuments.

DEUTSCH: „Auf der Suche nach der verlorenen Erinnerung“

Mit diesem Kurzfilm setzt Francesca Cataldi ihre Entdeckungsreise durch die Geschichte und durch die Materie der Kartographie mit handgeformten Objekten und gebrauchten Papieren fort. Die Künstlerin arbeitet hauptsächlich mit „armen“ Materialien wie Eisen, Glasfaser, Kupfer, Bitumen, Teer, Glas, Beton, Zellulose oder gefundenen Gegenständen.

ITALIANO: „Alla ricerca della memoria perduta“

Con questo cortometraggio Francesca Cataldi continua il viaggio esplorativo nella materia e nella storia della cartografia con le trame plasmate. L`artista lavora soprattutto con materiali poveri come ferro, vetroresina, rame, bitume, catrame, vetro, cemento, cellulose o oggetti trovati.

ENGLISH: „In search of lost menories“

With this short film, Francesca Cataldi continues her voyage of discovery through the history and the subject of cartography with hand-formed objects and used paper. The artist works mainly with “poor” materials such as iron, fiberglass, copper, bitumen, tar, glass, concrete, cellulose or found objects.

Throughout the month of May 2021, 13 artists from Europe, the USA and the Middle East are showing 13 short videos.

“Solid plates of iron are perfectly situated in the ancient huge hall of this historical building. The archaic construction of the building, offset by massive fastenings with hemp ropes and sickles, suggests the principles of war, concurrent with the one now raging in Kosovo.
